Digital Art

The Green Colossus
The Green Colossus is inspired from my daily experience in our modern industrial society where our planet is forced to split into two contrasting environment - Nature & Smog.
The Green Colossus represents our planet in suffering, the green side shows the nature remaining despite the pollution occurring on the other side. The Green Colossus is shown to be in pain and agony due to the effects of advancement in technology and the impacts of man-kind.

Marble in Space
This is a digital spray painting that I made to explore different styles of digital art and illustration. The Marble In Space is a planet of many bright colours and textures similar to that of a marble.
Glowy Hair
This was me trying to experiment with lighting and texture effects in procreate

Spider Punk (from spiderverse)
This is a fanart I made of Spider Punk, from Spider Man Across the Spiderverse. I was interested and inspired by the art style used to animate this character in the movie and tried to replicate it in this drawing.
Little Big Nightmares
This is a comic cover I designed for my O level coursework, a story about my deepest personal fears transformed from fears, into monsters.

The Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2022 Art Exhibition (SYF2022AE)

This is a showcase of the collaboration between all the art students in my level back in 2022. It was a collaborative comic book containing multiple stories in it all about the theme of artist and sustainability.

My comic is a short comic about a boy who realises all the bad effects electronics have on the environment. I greatly exaggerated this by turning all his home appliances into monsters. It was a fun experience learning how to make a digital comic and seeing the comics made by my friends.

Through this collaboration, I improved many skills such as comic book layouts and teamwork. All the students were tasked with explaining our comics to viewers at the museum who came by to look at it. This was a memorable experience and has made a great impact on my art.

Joshua Foong
I am an aspiring artist and designer. I have loved art since kindergarten. Since a young age, my drawings have progressed from simple shapes, to illustrations, and has recently been branching out into different art styles and some realism. I have always been obsessed with posters comic book covers, app icons and album covers, always being interested in the design and story behind them. I have dabbled in music production as well, and I love making music to go with my art. My dream is to become an artist, graphic designer or photographer in the future, as I take great pride in producing aesthetically pleasing pictures and enjoy feeling proud of my own work.
